Just another adjustment

"Labor Day differs in every essential way from the other holidays of the year in any country. All other holidays are in a more or less degree connected with conflicts and battles of man's prowess over man, of strife and discord for greed and power, of glories achieved by one nation over another. Labor Day...is devoted to no man, living or dead, to no sect, race, or nation."
Samuel Gompers, founder and longtime president of the American Federation of Labor.

Although I was brought up in the city, assuming this pathetic place I live still maintains such status, my father and I always had one thing in common, hunting "the pursuit and killing or capture of wild animals regarded as a sport". That was many years ago and the only hunting I get to enjoy these days is the first few days of deer season. I have four 12-guage shot guns, three pumps and one single shot. The only time these babies even get out of the cabinet anymore is for our annual pigeon shoot (skeet shoot) at our cabin. As I have said before, this is a big event for the residents of the ‘road’, but this year would be much different than ever before.

The field behind our cabin was flooded with over 4 inches of rainwater. The leftovers from the tropical storm had made it’s mark all around us. Early Sunday morning we had to change plans, and fast. The shoot was at 11AM and we had no place to go. With little else to do, we entered into plan “w”. (yea, trust me, we started with “a”). Shooting over Penns Creek, turned a small river at this point, in an area with limited real estate was the best option short of canceling the whole deal.

The following video is of round two, the only round I shot well in. Although I could have done much better, I still took 3rd place.
